Legendary rockers are the latest stellar name to be added to this year’s High Voltage festival! Thin Lizzy are the latest massive name to be added to this year’s High Voltage festival!

Thin Lizzy is a legendary name in rock ‘n’ roll. In a year that has marked the 25th anniversary of the death of the band’s iconic frontman Phil Lynott, and has also seen the passing of former guitarist Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy’s return to the live stage with a brand-new line-up has received widespread acclaim from press and public alike.

The new-look Thin Lizzy features three stars of the Lynott-led era in guitarist Scott Gorham, drummer Brian Downey and keyboard player Darren Wharton, plus Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, former Whitesnake bassist Marco Mendoza and lead vocalist and guitarist Ricky Warwick (ex-The Almighty).

As Scott Gorham proudly states: “Phil wrote so many classic songs, and people still love hearing them. And playing them with this band is an incredible experience.” After storming the world of heavy metal for nearly 40 years, Judas Priest have announced that their upcoming Epitaph world tour will be their last. There’s no time for tears here though as Priest have also revealed that their final world tour will begin in Europe and will include an all guns blazing headline set at next year’s High Voltage festival!

Joining Judas Priest will be globe dominating prog-rock royalty, Dream Theater. After their arena-conquering Progressive Nation tour earned rave reviews, this will be the prog-rock legends first UK show in almost 2 years! Judas Priest will headline on Saturday, July 23rd and Dream Theater will top the bill on Sunday, July 24th. Other names on this year’s bill include Neurosis and Electric Wizard headlining the Metal Hammer stage, Evile, Black Spiders, Black Country Communion, Jethro Tull, Queensryche, Thunder, Michael Schenker Group, Barclay James Harvest, Anathema, Grand Magus and more!

High Voltage is the festival all true rock fans have been waiting for – custom built by rock fans for rock fans. The High Voltage team has been to every rock festival imaginable – taking what they have learned to build a festival unlike any other.

As well as some of the biggest and most influential names in rock and metal, there will also be shows from biker stalwarts Ace Cafe and a display inspired by the legendary Evil Knievel!
